Usage is light-to-medium for photo editing and web browsing. It's fully loaded with i7, 4GB DDR GTX 780M, 16GB ram, etc. I am willing to try any sort of diagnostics or techniques and post the results here.I purchased a brand new Apple iMac (Late 2013) 27' iMac from Apple in August of 2013. Hopefully this post documents a problem that myself as well as a few other people are having. Unlike many other people here, I can't even get into the game menu. Before the animation ends, everytihng stops, and I return to my desktop. A black window appears, and animates to a full screen as it slides over to my second desktop/places. When launching from the finder, the game attemps to open in full screen mode. In my 'Library' sidebar in steam, I see the word 'Syncing' appear for a split second next to Cities Skylines. When launching from Steam, a window pops up briefly that says something like 'Preparing to launch Cities Skylines' (Only appears for a split second), then it goes away.

*EDIT*: Noticed that Steam doesn't recognize my GPU correctly-claims 2GB, when I have a 4GB card. *EDIT*: Tried running Steam in 'Big Picture Mode', no luck *EDIT*: Installed latest Mac OS security update (3/20/15), no luck. *EDIT*: Updated to version 1.06b, still not working for me! *EDIT*: Enrolled in Steam Beta program and updated Steam. *EDIT*: Verified the cache still no luck

Set launch option to '-condebug' in an attempt to get a debug log. Checked Apple Store for latest software updates (Everything up to date) Setting game launch options to '-windowed' and '-sw' Checking for Steam Updates (Latest version installed) Deleting and re-installing Cities Skylines I have tried every solution that I've seen mentioned in these forums to get it to launch, but no luck.Ĭonnected to Thunderbolt Display (2560x1440) **** MAJOR EDIT!!!
